What are the hours for Open Range for handguns?
Open Range for handguns is generally from 6:30pm to 9:00pm Monday, Thursday and Friday. 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday and 1:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday. The Postal Pistol League meets Mondays during the season from September to March. Consult the calendar for specific times and dates of operation
Will someone be at the range to assist me?
Yes. A NRA Certified Range Safety Officer will be on duty whenever the range is open.
What is the cost for shooting?
The cost is $3.00 for members. $10.00 for a guest of a member (one time only). $20.00 for members of the public. An annual 2017 membership is $50.00.
What calibers can I shoot?
Handgun calibers only. Large calibers will be allowed at the discretion of the range officer on duty.
What distances can I shoot at?
The maximum distance is 50 feet. Most handgun shooting takes place at 25 feet. The range officer on duty will decide the distances depending on the number of shooters, etc.
I reload, can I pickup my brass?
Do I need to bring my own targets?
You may bring your own targets. We supply NRA slow fire pistol targets at no charge.
How long can I stay and shoot?
You may stay until the range officer on duty announces the range is closing.
Is there a charge for ammo?
NRPC does not sell ammo and there is no surcharge for you to shoot your own ammo.
Can I bring more than one handgun?
